Peter Ricq was born in Montreal where he was raised by a crazy French man and a surprisingly lazy German mother. He attended a comic book school in 2001 but then discovered that films were what drove him most. He went out to study animation at Concordia University the following year. You can find a strong source of inspiration throughout his illustrations that have evolved from working in animation and comic books. He also likes to explore different styles and mediums when approach a new canvas.
Peter has shown his work in several Montreal art Galleries for the past five years. His work has been featured in two international magazines (Hemp and Under Pressure) His last animated short film (Glitch) was awarded with seven best animation awards and one jury prize. He is also the co-creator of two animated television series for Children, one in production here at Nerd Corps entertainment and another in development in Ireland.
