The clothing that i make is meant to be more than just being items to wear. These pieces are about the energy i put into them—an essence that i want people to feel inspired and enriched by when they put them on. Often altering the textiles i use before sewing with them, i use dyes, make my own stencils and transfer images that i drew or photographed onto fabric. Through my clothing, i want to integrate within society my many perspectives and inspirations using images, words and geometry. I believe style is a very strong form of communication with people who will see you-but never speak to you. In my pieces, i blend the styles i feel, while keeping aware of the elements around me—the wind the rain and the constant changes in Vancouver weather.
